Privacy policy
This policy describes how CS2Crosshairs uses information when you browse the site.
Search and browsing
Search terms are sent to our server to find matching players, teams, and gear. Requests may include technical information such as your IP address, browser, and the page requested. Hosting services may record this information in operational logs.
Accounts and community
Accounts store your email, display name, password hash, and session records. Necessary session cookies keep you signed in. Comments and display names are public; your saved crosshairs are private to your account. You can delete your comments and remove bookmarks.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your theme and language, and preserve in-progress work like crosshair settings. These are necessary to operate core features. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies beyond those described in this policy.
Analytics
The production site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google Analytics can use cookies and collect browser, device, and usage information. Google’s privacy policy. Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads settings. See how Google uses data on partner sites. Google Ads settings. How Google uses data on partner sites.
Third-party data providers
Player and team metadata used on the site is supplied by PandaScore through its public API. When you view a profile, the site may retrieve or reference data that originally came from PandaScore. That provider has its own privacy policy, and we recommend reviewing it. We do not send personal data about our visitors to PandaScore beyond normal page requests.
Images and external links
Player images, team logos, and country flags may load from Cloudflare, PandaScore, and FlagCDN. Loading an external image sends a request to that provider. Links to Steam and other sites are governed by those sites’ privacy policies.
Public player profiles
We display public professional player information, including nicknames, teams, nationalities, equipment, and match observations. Player data is distinct from information about visitors browsing this site.
Data retention and security
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Comments remain until they are deleted by the author or removed by moderation. Operational logs are retained for a limited period to maintain the service and diagnose issues. Passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to account data is restricted. Please contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data.
Children's privacy
CS2Crosshairs is a general-interest reference site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and comments through the site, opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads settings, and disable analytics cookies through browser settings or Google's opt-out tools.
